Safran’s sponsorship of the Icam Production School Paris-Senart site

Thanks to Safran's sponsorship, the Icam Production school at Paris-Sénart site - which opened in autumn 2017 - has been able to buy a conventional machine tool that will allow students to learn the basics of their future careers in machining. Ecoles de Production are French training centres aimed primarily at young people aged 15 and over, who have dropped out of school. They provide training in industries with high-demand jobs and help them find their place in society. The teaching approach centres on "learning by doing", combining theory and practice in a business setting. This enables students to become genuine stakeholders in real-life production processes (responding to actual orders), which helps empower them and gives them a sense of responsibility.
