EcoPulse™: ready to demonstrate hybrid-electric propulsion in flight

EcoPulse™ is a hybrid-electric distributed propulsion aircraft demonstrator designed by Daher, Safran and Airbus with the support of CORAC (Conseil pour la Recherche Aéronautique Civile) and the DGAC (Direction générale de l'aviation civile).
Based on TBM, the aircraft is equipped with six integrated electric thrusters (or e-Propellers), distributed along the wings. Its propulsion system integrates two power sources: turbogenerator and a battery pack.
EcoPulse™ is scheduled to begin its hybrid-electric flight test campaign in the summer of 2023. It is one of the French aerospace industry's major collaborative projects in the field of decarbonization.
