1974, CFM International: a textbook transatlantic partnership

History

It all started 40 years ago. During the France-U.S. summit meeting in Reykjavik, Iceland back in 1973, the countries' respective presidents at the time, Georges Pompidou and Richard Nixon, laid the foundations for a partnership between Safran Aircraft Engines of France and General Electric of the United States.
