Safran's contribution to theA350 XWB (airbus)

Accessory drive train
Safran (Safran Transmission Systems) supplies a new generation of accessory drive trains (ADT) for the Trent XWB engine equipping the long-haul A350 XWB jet airliner. This accessory drive train develops 800 KW of power.
Learn moreThrottle control assemblies
The throttle control assemblies of the A350 XWB are supplied by Safran (Safran Electronics & Defense) which designs an advanced range of flight control systems, adapted to all types of civil aircraft, combining flexibility and safety.
Learn moreMain landing gears
Wheels and carbon brakesSafran (Safran Landing Systems) designs, manufactures and provides support for the main landing gear of the A350 XWB. This landing gear, equipped with 8 wheels, satisfies the low weight, high reliability and low cost of ownership targets on this programme. Safran Landing Systems also equips the A350 XWB with wheels and carbon brakes as well as the landing gear extension-retraction system, the monitoring system, the steering system and the braking system.
