The Safran Foundation for Music supports the Piano in Lyon Association

The Piano in Lyon Association organizes a musical program that is one of the major cultural music events in the Rhône-Alpes region. Each season offers recitals by renowned international concert performers and talented young soloists. It is also an opportunity for the association to support the beginning of young pianists' careers with recordings, the production and distribution of which are entrusted to various labels distributed throughout Europe, as well as in Asia and the United States.

What position do you hold at Polytechnique Montréal?

I'm Associate Professor and head of the Mechanical Engineering department's manufacturing section, where I teach theory and practice to engineering students. Hands-on teaching takes place in laboratories, including research labs, since we also undertake R&T projects with doctoral students.

Safran to build new aircraft carbon brake plant near Lyon

This new plant will strengthen the production capacity of Safran Landing Systems, the Group's landing and braking system specialist. Carbon brakes for aircraft are currently produced at three Safran facilities: the legacy site in Villeurbanne (near Lyon), also Safran's global research center for friction materials, Walton, Kentucky in the United States, and Sendayan in Malaysia.
