Melding nature and technology: it’s a snap!

What links are there between nature and aeronautics?

A butterfly's wings glittering in the morning dew, a water droplet sliding over the surface of a leaf, a praying mantis unfolding its legs, an abandoned tree stump, a spider's web in the sunlight, a wind-swept dune… The beauties of nature are an inexhaustible source of wonder, not just for artists, but also for engineers!

Making our actions more meaningful

Do we need a purpose to exist? A number of French companies were asking themselves this question, worthy of a term paper in philosophy, following the introduction of the country's PACTE law in the spring of 2019. Along with measures designed to facilitate growth, this law encourages companies to think about their usefulness to stakeholders and also to define a "purpose" guiding their actions over the long run.

#LoveMySafranJob: “I love working at the crossroads of science and industry”

What sparked your interest in research, and especially in aerospace?

As far back as I can remember, I've always been fascinated by energetics, the science that studies the properties of energy. I always wanted to feel like I was helping to solve the major challenges facing society. I chose aerospace because it's a highly innovative sector, with exciting scientific challenges.
