Stephane Cueille, Safran CTO, has introduced the Group R&T and Environment road map during a press presentation at Safran Tech.
While the aviation sector is engaged to reduce CO2, Safran presents its technological road map to achieve goals targeted for 2050.
This mission ended today at the headquarters of the Les Echos Le Parisien Group, with the historic signing of a charter of operational commitments by more than a hundred companies. This action makes it possible to achieve a strong ambition around a proactive approach in favor of the employment of people with disabilities.
Having provided support for the construction of two vocational and social integration centers (called Life Project Centers) for excluded young people in New Delhi (India) from 2015 to 2018, the Safran Foundation for Integration is renewing its support for LP4Y in 2019. The Foundation will be participating in a project to build a new center in Chennai (India), which will eventually take in around 60 young people, and also be co-financing an economic aid scheme for young adults doing training courses.
GAN is a global alliance of private sector companies and international organizations that work together to encourage the development of work-based learning, with the support of the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the OECD. Strongly committed to providing learning opportunities for young people in all job categories, Safran became a member of the French branch of the GAN network as soon as it was set up, in 2017.
The Annual General Assembly of the African Airlines Association (AFRAA), which has been sponsoring by CFM International* for many years, gave Safran the opportunity to announce that it has become an official partner of AFRAA. In taking on this commitment, the Group is keen to participate in AFRAA's work to develop the African market and support its growth. This partnership will also enable Safran to raise its profile among the African aeronautic community.
