Expertise and experience

Norman Jordan holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Arizona State University. He started his career in the Aerospace industry with Allied Signal Aerospace (now Honeywell) in Phoenix, Arizona in 1984, beginning as Programs and Contracts Manager and then holding several positions, including Director of both Airbus and Boeing Programs from 1984-1994.

From 1994-1997, Norman Jordan held the position of Director Business Development at Fairchild Controls (now Triumph Thermal Systems) in Maryland and then joined B/E Aerospace Seating Products Group (now Rockwell Collins) as Vice President Program/Product line Management and Central Planning in North Carolina from 1997-2000.

In 2000, Norman Jordan joined Labinal (now Safran Electrical & Power) serving as Vice President and General Manager of Labinal Aero Defense Systems in Oklahoma. Subsequently, from 2002-2006, he held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Labinal’s North America Wiring Division. Finally, in 2006, Norman Jordan was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Labinal SA, based in France.

After ten plus years with Labinal, Norman Jordan moved to Hampson Industries (components, tooling and structures for the aerospace industry) in the UK as Chief Executive Officer in 2010. After American Industrial Partners (AIP) acquired the US operating units of Hampson in late 2012, Norman Jordan functioned as Senior Advisor to AIP to transition former Hampson US subsidiaries until January, 2013.

In 2013, Norman Jordan joined Triumph Aerostructures as President of the Marshall Street facility (major aerostructures). Subsequently, from 2014-2016, he was President of the Vought Aircraft Division (metallic and composite aircraft structures and components).

Norman Jordan then joined Zodiac Aerospace as Chief Executive Officer of the Cabin Interior Solutions Division (design and manufacturing of among others integrated cabin interiors, galleys and lavatories) of the Zodiac Cabin Branch in 2017.

After Zodiac Aerospace was acquired by Safran on February 13, 2018, Norman Jordan was appointed to his current position as Chief Executive Officer of Safran Cabin, based in Huntington Beach, California on April 16, 2018.
