XMA-ROTOR, a wireless modular acquisition system for helicopter's rotors and propellers

XMA-ROTOR is a dedicated XMA chassis for mounting on rotary wing rotors or propellers allowing the use of all existing XMA modules on a rotary part. Its design copes with environmental conditions of civil and military rotorcraft. 

• No slip ring is required : reliable and qualified in flight inductive power supply makes it simple to integrate this data acquisition unit on the rotary part. Thanks to Safran Data Systems technology, the induction provides high yield without Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) to surrounding systems.
• High data rate : thanks to its ruggedized Wifi link, XMA-ROTOR makes no compromise with the data, allowing up to 40 Mbps link between the rotary part and the vehicle's cabin.
• Precise time synchronization : Safran Data Systems' wireless technology allows for a time synchronization between XMA-ROTOR and the rest of the Flight Test System at a better precision than PTP implementations.
• Full integration with XMA systems: designed to operate seamlessly with existing flight test systems, the XMA-ROTOR is configured and managed as standard XMA stack and is fully compatible with Safran Data Systems architecture.
