Vinci Purge Valve (PV)

A model, two functions

The Purge Valve (PV) is integrated into the Vinci engine of the Ariane 6 upper stage. This normally closed pneumatic poppet valve is designed to operate as 2 Hydrogen (HPV) and Oxygen (OPV) purge valves. Both are identical and installed on the line sections downstream of the 2 turbo pumps.
