VAMPIR NG – Panoramic long-range InfraRed Search and Track (IRST) system
VAMPIR NG
Operating speed 360°/s
Surveillance frequency rate high
Warming on target (conventional/asymmetric) > 30 scd
VAMPIR NG is a surface vessel passive sensor solution for 360° detection of conventional and asymmetrical threats, from anti-ship sea-skimming missile, fighter aircraft and UAV to fast incoming craft, including jet ski.
VAMPIR NG
Operating speed 360°/s
Surveillance frequency rate high
Warming on target (conventional/asymmetric) > 30 scd
Passive and undetectable sensor
High resolution panoramic image
Very low false alarm rate even in littoral environment
Fully integrated to the ship’s combat system
VAMPIR NG is the world’s best-selling naval IRST. Complementary to the radar, it provides a unique contribution to situation awareness. VAMPIR NG is able to detect threats that are not detected by radar, such as RIBs (rigid inflatable boat) or small UAVs.
An evolving system
The latest version of VAMPIR is the fourth generation of naval IRST developed by Safran Electronics & Defense. It includes a new infrared sensor, new modernized electronics and new image processing involving data fusion and artificial intelligence (deep learning).
