TCA / TCQ
TCA / TCQ – Throttle control assembly or quadrant for airplane

TCA / TCQ
Load path single or dual
Mode passive or autothrottle
Compliance DO-160 / -178 / -254
Operated by the pilot or the autopilot, the Safran Electronics & Defense’s Throttle Control Assembly (TCA / TCQ) commands the thrust of each engine during the flight or on ground. As an essential human-machine interface, it reduces the pilot workload during the thrust adjustments.

Compliance DO-160 / -178 / -254
Reduction of the pilot workload
Optimization of the fuel efficiency
Easy to operate and to install thanks to its ergonomic design

An ergonomic man-machine interface to regulate the engines
The TCA / TCQ sends electrical signals to the FADEC digital engine control systems to reach the required thrust command, depending on the flight phase. On ground, it allows to control the reverse thrust and the low speed thrust during taxiing. It can be used to engage the aircraft’s autothrottle mode and to give the pilot a visual reference as to thrust the autothrottle system is commanding.
