Combat-proven and effective

Makila is a combat-proven engine, particularly effective when operating in military transport and rescue missions. It has earned a reputation as a safe and reliable partner for operators flying in challenging conditions, notably offshore and extreme military environments.

A proven engine

The Makila 1A1 and 1A2 engines are intended for the twin-engine SA330 Puma, AS332 Super Puma and AS532 Cougar helicopters manufactured by Airbus Helicopters. The Makila 1A1 powers the latest version of the Super Puma: the H215. The Makila 1K2 is installed in South Africa's Denel Aviation Rooivalk attack helicopter.



The Makila 2A / 2A1 is a Makila 1 evolution powering the H225 and H225M Caracal. The Makila 2A / 2A1 is fourteen per cent more powerful than the 1A. It delivers a take-off power of 2,101 shp and a cruising power of 1,970 shp. It was certified in 2004.
