Formboard Design

The Safran Engineering Services team demonstrates an average of 30 years’ experience in Formboard Design using several CAD tools and supporting, for instance, Safran Electrical & Power manufacturing teams.
Innovation and digitalization of electrical harnesses
Safran Engineering Services constantly innovates on improving efficiency linked to harness design. We are working on existing 2D data to digitize and integrate them automatically in 3D mock-ups. Starting from old paper plans or data taken from the plane using virtual reality, image recognition or artificial intelligence, Safran Engineering Services is able to automatically recreate 3D model mock-ups to deliver a full-digitized solution.
Safran Engineering Services also works on automatic design and has developed a solution to support electrical harness routing design. The idea? “Being the Smart GPS of the electrical routing”, considering aircraft configuration and requirements, parts specificities and modification needs to automatically generate the most accurate design.
