Avionic Integration rig, the solution to test Avionic systems or subsystems
Developed as a part of testing various LRUs on LCA MK1 (Tejas Aircraft), the Avionic Integration rig stands out as one of the most complex integrated testing systems with 40+ LRUs with Pilot in the Loop. It also has great versatility, allowing it to configure LRUs for all Interfaces such as Radio Frequency signals, MIL 1553, Serial, Ethernet, AIO, DIO, etc. Furthermore, it includes a FPXI RT system for testing various Avionics and RF based LRUs. Finally, it also allows data logging with synchronized time stamping, and a Pilot Control Simulation functionality with fault insertion test.
This solution is recognized as a real success, especially since it greatly contributed to the award to Safran Data Systems India at the SME Empowering India Awards 2023 in the field of Defense and Aerospace.
AEW & CS LRU Test System, Test critical functionality of LRU
Safran Data System India is recognized as RF specialty partner for NI (National Instrument) and with capabilities they have developed one of the most advanced testing equipment as part of the AEW & CS (Airborne Early Warning and Control System) program led by the DRDO (Defence Research & Development Organization), this system is now the first Indian ATE capable of testing 50+ LRUs! The AEW & CS LRU Test System is designed using COTS hardware. It has a customized RF switch matrix modules of (32X8 to 8X8 to 8X32).
The system includes advanced features generating detailed Test Reports with Statistical Analysis. OK/NOT OK tests are performed. Depending on the results, the appropriate analysis is made to locate the problem/fault up to the lowest replaceable level.
RIR-ATE, the solution to test Radar LRUs
The system is used to perform tests, fault identification, repair and requalification of different Radar LRUs. The most unique feature engineered is its dual mode of operation; first the Radar Integration Rig (RIR) can validate the functionalities or identify the fault of LRUs in integrated form, and secondly the ATE will test the individual LRUs for any fault.
The system includes different Soft Panels helping the user to simulate or measure signals of different types like sFPDP, MIL-STD-1553B, discrete timing and control, RS-232, and RF. The different tests performed are Power Consumption test, Display-Link Test, Tx link Test, Recorder Link Test, Ethernet Switch Link Test, LCS link Test, RF Monitoring Link test, Antenna Link test and many others.
