ATS337 Starting Systems

The latest in Safran Power Units' family of air turbine starters, the ATS337 is used to start the SaM146 engine developed by PowerJet (a Safran Aircraft Engines-NPO Saturn joint venture) for the family of SuperJet 100 Russian regional jets developed by Sukhoï.

Backed with several decades of experience in air turbine starters, the ATS337 is designed to provide users with high dependability and low maintenance costs.

Its technical characteristics are ideal for the medium power engine market and the most demanding customers.

Starting Systems

Depending on the aircraft's architecture, power is transferred to the main motor either mechanically or pneumatically. Safran Power Units designs and manufactures a wide range of starters for both modes. It also makes valve systems for engine air turbine starters.

Safran Power Units provides the starting systems for TP400 engines on the Airbus Military A400M and SaM146 engines on Sukhoï's SuperJet 100.
