One of Safran’s “best sellers”

The Arriel is the best-selling helicopter engine in its class. Over the past 40 years, over 15,000 units have been produced, together logging more than 60 million flight hours. With power outputs ranging from 650 to over 1,000 shp, the Arriel family now powers over 40 different helicopter types. Developed from the Arriel 2N, the 2L2 is the most powerful Arriel variant with a take-off power rating of 1024 shp. The Arriel 2L2 will deliver better reliability, power and performance during demanding missions.

The most popular helicopter engine in its class

The Arriel family is divided into two product lines: Arriel 1 and Arriel 2. Their power ranges are, respectively, from 650 to 750 shp and 830 to over 1,000 shp.

Every day the engine is used in all types of helicopter missions and has earned a reputation as a safe and reliable partner for operators flying EMS, search and rescue, law enforcement or maritime surveillance missions, often under demanding conditions.
