Quiet: the thrust reversers reduce the engine noise through their acoustic treatment.

Robust and reliable: The thrust reversers are proven design systems.

Light: lighter thrust reversers, using composite materials.

A330ceo thrust reversers

The A330ceo jetliner's Rolls-Royce Trent 700 turbofan engine utilizes the world's first large pivot door-type thrust reverser and includes an innovative one-piece composite inner fixed structure. Its acoustic treatment contributes to the propulsion system's reduced noise footprint. Delivery of the first Trent 700 thrust reverser occurred during 1993, and the initial A330 made its maiden flight in January 1994 – with airline service beginning the following year.

Safran Nacelles' industrial responsibility also involves its assembly of the "podded" engine, built up using the company's thrust reverser, along with the air inlet, cowl doors and nozzle assembly. Safran Nacelles delivers the Integrated Propulsion System to Airbus' final assembly line in the Toulouse, France area for installation on the A330ceo.
