Information Statement on the protection of personal data
This information notice on the protection of personal data indicates the terms and conditions for the processing of personal data set up Safran Group companies, on the data subjects who subscribe to the Site's services.
1.Definitions
Personal data (or « Data »): any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person; an "identifiable natural person" is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly.
Safran Group: publisher of the Site and data controller for the processing operations listed below.
Site: Safran Group website (www.safran-group.com)
User: any person who visits the Site and uses its services.
2.Processing carried out on the Site
Safran Group implements the Personal data processing operations listed below:
a. Management of the account on the Site
- Purpose: creation of an account on the Site to provide Users with access to the Site's various services
- Legal basis: consent of the data subject
- Data collected: surname, first name, email address, telephone number, media outlet if the data subject is a journalist, language of communication. Only the email address is required to access the service. All other Data is optional and can be entered by the User.
- Recipients: Site administrators and authorised persons from the Communications Department.
- Retention periods: If no connection is made to the account for 2 years, an email is sent to the User. If there is no response, the account is deleted within 48 hours.
If the User wishes to delete their account, they will no longer receive communications (including press releases and news).
To create an account, the User must read and accept this notice of information on personal data by ticking the box on the creation form.
The data subject undertakes to provide complete, accurate and legitimate information in the account creation form.
b. Management of the provision of news, newsletters and press releases
- Purpose: communication of news, newsletters and press releases to Users with an account on the Site.
- Legal basis: consent of the data subject
- Data collected: Types of Safran communication that the User is interested in receiving by e-mail (news items, press releases). The creation of an account on the Site is required to access this service. By default, communications are not active; it is up to the User to select the communications in which he/she is interested.
- Recipients: Site administrators and authorised persons from the Communications Department.
- Retention periods: Communication preferences will be deleted when the account is deleted. Users may withdraw their communication preferences at any time via their account or via email.
c. Management of graphic charter accreditation
- Purpose: to accredit access to Users with an account on the Site to the Group's graphic charter
- Legal basis: consent of the data subject
- Data collected: surname, first name, email address, language of communication, type of project and name of project, group company involved in the project. An account must be created on the Site in order to access the services. The platform administrator accredits Users on a need-to-know basis.
- Recipients: Site administrators and authorised persons from the Communications Department.
- Retention periods: Access to the graphic charter is available to accredited Users until their account is deleted. Users may request that their access be removed at any time via their account.
d. Contact form management
- Purpose: To enable Users to send contact forms to the various Safran Group departments.
- Legal basis: consent of the data subject
- Data collected: the User must provide an email address, a subject and a message for the form to reach the Safran departments indicated as the recipients of the message. This information comes from the User or, if the User is connected to his/her account on the Site, from information that he/she has already entered.
Depending on the form, the User may complete the various fields in the forms on an optional basis. Data marked with an asterisk in the questionnaire must be provided. Otherwise, the message cannot be sent. - Recipients: authorised persons in the Communications Department and authorised persons in Safran departments for whom messages are intended.
- Retention period: messages are kept for 24 months and then deleted.
In order to send a message, the User must read and accept this notice of information on personal data by ticking the box on the contact form.
The data subject undertakes to provide complete, accurate and legitimate information in the form.
e. Safran shareholder club registration request
- Legal basis: consent of the data subject
- Data collected: Users must provide their telephone number, e-mail address, country of residence, number and type of shares held. The User may add the following data: title, country of residence, date of birth.
This information comes from the User or, when the User is connected to their account on the Site, from information they have already entered.
Data marked with an asterisk in the questionnaire must be provided. Otherwise, the registration form cannot be sent. - Recipients: authorised persons in the Communications Department and the Financial Communications Department.
- Retention period: messages are kept for 24 months and then deleted. The Financial Communications Department deletes forms once they have been entered into the database.
- To request the creation of an account with the shareholder club, the User must read and accept this notice of information on personal data by ticking the box on the account creation form.
- The data subject undertakes to provide complete, accurate and legitimate information in the form. If the information provided changes (address, e-mail, telephone number, sale of shares), you can contact the Financial Communications Department to make the changes and/or request that your membership of the shareholders' club be withdrawn: [email protected].
f. Safran Museum reservations management
- Purpose: to enable Users to book the museum's various tours and events. No payment is made via the Site.
- Legal basis: consent of the data subject
- Data collected: surname, first name, telephone number and email address, language of communication, company (institution, private individual, company). If the booking is made on behalf of a company: company, booking contact number (optional), free comment by the User.
- Recipients: people in charge of management of the museum, the Communications Department and the service provider implementing the platform.
- Retention period: reservation data is kept for 2 years and then deleted. Quotations for the auditorium are kept for 3 years in paper format and are only accessible to museum management staff.
g. Searching for job offers
- When searching for a job offer, Users can activate their browser's geolocation function in order to find job offers within a perimeter defined by the User. This function requires the User to share their position with the Site. Users can deactivate this function at any time via their browser.
- Only the User has access to his/her geolocation Data. Geolocation Data is not accessible to the persons in charge of the Site or any other Safran personnel, nor is it transmitted to third parties.
h. Information system security and confidentiality of personal data
- Purpose: to protect the information system including the Site Data
- Legal basis: Legitimate interest: Safran has implemented appropriate security and confidentiality measures to protect personal data against loss, alteration or disclosure to unauthorized third parties. These procedures comply with the state of the art and are regularly updated.
- Data collected: connection logs and IP address as well as any data strictly necessary for the achievement of the purpose present on the Site.
- Retention period: connection logs are kept for 1 year
- Recipients: Site administrators and the IT security team.
3.Other processing of Personal data by Safran Group
Safran has set up processing operations to protect the Personal data of data subjects and to meet its legal obligations.
- Managing compliance with legal obligations and due-diligence obligations incumbent on Safran; managing its obligations to protect personnel; managing the rights of Safran and those of others as well as assets and information
- Legal basis: Legitimate interest: Safran has installed functionality in order to ensure its compliance with international regulation, to defend its interests in a court of law or before an arbitrator, to manage the companies’ general operational activities, and to protect its staff, its assets and its information. Due diligence work carried out during negotiations for the sale or purchase of a company may involve sending Personal data to the potential buyer or seller.
- Data: any data necessary for the operation
- Retention period: Data used in this regard is retained until the end of the operation concerned.
- Recipients: persons authorized according to the operation
4.Transfers outside the European Union
The Site's Data is hosted in France. Personal data is not transferred outside the European Union.
On museum bookings:
- Booking Data is hosted by the platform provider in the European Union.
- Quotation Data (in paper format) is stored in France on the museum's website.
5.Cookies
A cookie is a file deposited on the computer or any other device used to consult the Internet, by the site visited, in order to transmit, for example, session information from page to page, or to record the passage on such or such page, with the aim of optimising navigation, in terms of comfort, efficiency and relevance.

6.Rights of the data subjects
The data subject has rights of access, rectification, deletion, limitation and portability, as well as a right to object, which he or she may exercise by contacting the Safran Data Protection Officer: [email protected].
If there is any doubt about the identity of the data subject, proof of identity may be requested.
The data subject may also file a complaint with a personal data control authority in the event of no response or an unsatisfactory response from Safran.
