WestJet chooses Messier-Bugatti-Dowty for Boeing 767 wheels and carbon brakes

Canadian airline WestJet has chosen Messier-Bugatti-Dowty (Safran) for the supply and support of wheels and carbon brakes for its fleet of four Boeing 767 widebody twinjets. The first of WestJet’s Boeing 767 entered into service in October 2015.

The contract includes maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services to be carried out at Messier-Bugatti-Dowty’s North American subsidiary MBD Wheel and Brake Repair and Services facilities in Milwaukee, WI and Bethlehem, PA. It also provides for an inventory of spare assemblies dedicated to WestJet, to facilitate the exchange or replacement of wheels and carbon brakes as needed.
