Safran selected as a Textron Aviation supplier for its Cassiopée flight data monitoring service

Paris, France, January 12, 2021

Safran Electronics & Defense has been selected by Textron Aviation as a supplier for its Cassiopée™ Flight Data Monitoring solution. Starting in December 2020, this service will initially be available to all ARes II-equipped Cessna Citation CJ4 jets. Cessna Citation jets are manufactured by Textron Aviation Inc.

Cassiopée™ Flight Data Monitoring solution (FDM), also referred to as Flight Operations Quality Assurance (FOQA), enables operators to use and learn from their flight via Textron Aviation’s LinxUs FDM service. Getting a greater insight into routine operational practices, allows operators to quickly identify potential operational issues.

Cassiopée™ powerful user interface provides a complete overview of all operations by data visualization, including automatic events notification, flight path, crew feedback and reports, operational statistics and more. In addition to the classical analysis of events, Cassiopée™ expert teams can perform detailed analyses of relevant flight parameters.

“Airlines, business aviation and helicopter operators, Cassiopée already supports more than 300 customers around the world. We are really pleased to offer our Cassiopée™ Flight Data Monitoring service to Textron Aviation customers” said Trice Smith, President & CEO of Safran Electronics & Defense Avionics USA.

Cassiopée™ is an all-in-one flight data processing and analysis solution developed by Safran Electronics & Defense. More than one-third of the global commercial fleet is tracked using Safran’s systems, with over 30 million hours of data analyzed every year.
