Safran announces Corporate Human Resources appointments

Safran’s Corporate Human Resources has made several appointments, which took effect on October 1. According to Jean-Luc Bérard, Executive Vice President for Human Resources, “These appointments follow the arrival of Zodiac employees at Safran and their integration within our HR function. They also reflect the career development of the Group’s heads of human resources, with these appointments being the latest step along their career paths.”
Gilles Garczynski, Vice President, Talent
Gilles Garczynski started his career with Labinal in 1989 as head of employee relations and international mobility. In 1993 he joined Bull as head of human resources and general manager of the Angers plant (Bull Electronics). He was then named head of human resources at Matra Marconi Space France in 1998, and deputy vice president for human resources of Astrium, part of EADS (Airbus Group). In 2003 he moved to Thales as head of human resources, first at Airborne Systems, then at the Naval division, in particular overseeing the HR aspects of the link-up with DCNS. He became human resources director of CGG Veritas in 2010, then joined Safran in early 2012 as Vice President for Human Resources at Safran Landing Systems.
Gilles Garczynski, 54, graduated from IEP Paris (1987), and holds a master’s degree in private law and a post-graduate degree in labor law.
Didier Rivron, Vice President, Skills and Training
Didier Rivron started his career in 1995 in the Human Resources department at Matra Marconi Space, then moved to the Sema Group (software services) in 1999. He joined EADS in 2001 as international human resources manager, later becoming head of employee relations for France in the Defense division. In 2004 he was named director of human resources for France at EADS Defense Security Networks. Two years later he was named head of human resources at the telecommunications company Completel. He joined Safran in 2008, successively holding positions as Vice President, Human Resources France at Messier Dowty (now Safran Landing Systems) , Vice President, Human Resources for the Landing Gear division of Messier Bugatti Dowty, and then the same position with Hispano-Suiza (now Safran Transmission Systems) in 2011. In 2015, he was named Vice President, Human Resources at Safran Electrical & Power.
Didier Rivron, 47, graduated from the ESC Rouen business school (1994).
Vincent Mackie, Vice President, Labor Affairs
Vincent Mackie started his career in 1992 with LVMH (Givenchy), then moved to France’s state-owned theater, La Comédie-Française, as deputy director of human resources. After a stint in industry with Vorwerk GmbH as head of human resources, he moved to Hilton hotels in 1999, first as head of human resources for Hilton Paris, then for Hilton France. In 2006 he was named director of human resources for Concorde Hotels (Lutetia, Martinez, Crillon). He joined Safran in 2011 as Vice President, Human Resources at Safran SA, prior to being named Vice President for Human Resources and Communications at Safran Transmission Systems in 2015.
Vincent Mackie, 51, graduated from the ESC Reims business school (1991) and also holds a master’s degree in business law (1989).
Yan Pardailhe-Galabrun, Director of Human Resources Performance
Yan Pardailhe-Galabrun began his career in 1986, in various human resources positions. In 1995 he moved to Alstom, where he was successively HR manager, then director of human resources at different business units in the United Kingdom, France, Belgium and the United States. He joined Areva NP in 2004 as Vice President, Human Resources. His career took an international turn in 2011 as he moved to the UK, first with Doosan Power System, then at Aggreko in 2014, before joining Crompton Greaves in Belgium in 2014.
He joined Zodiac Aerospace in 2017 as VP Human Resources with the Cabin division.
Yan Pardailhe-Galabrun, 56, holds a business management degree from the University of Paris 13 (1987).
Benoît Amiens, Vice President, International HR Coordination
Benoît Amiens started his career in a human resources position in 1994, then joined Sagem (now Safran Electronics & Defense) in 1998, serving as head of human resources at the Nanterre plant, then at Argenteuil (R&D). In May 2005, he was named Deputy HR Director at Sagem Défense et Sécurité (now Safran Electronics & Defense), in charge of human resources development. In 2007 he was appointed Director of Human Resources and Communications at Snecma Propulsion Solide, responsible in particular for handling labor negotiations during the merger between Snecma Propulsion Solide and SME Matériaux Energétiques, leading to the creation of Herakles (now part of ArianeGroup). In 2012 he was named Vice President, Human Resources for Safran’s India zone, based in New Delhi, where he set up a shared services center for the country. In 2015 he was named Deputy Director for Executives and Compensation and Vice President, Human Resources for the Europe-Middle East-Africa (EMEA) and India zone.
Benoit Amiens, 49, holds a post-graduate degree in social-cognitive psychology (1994).
