Safran and CASC create a framework for engine nacelle spares in China

Zhuhai, China, November 6, 2018

Safran Nacelles and China Aviation Supplies Co., Ltd. (CASC) have signed today at the China International Aviation & Aerospace exhibition in Zhuhai a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to create the framework of a cooperation agreement to build with CASC a nacelle support solution in China for customers flying Airbus A320neo-series jetliners powered by CFM International* LEAP-1A engines.

Under the terms of the MoU, Safran Nacelles and CASC would provide a solution to LEAP-1A nacelle end-items and spare parts to Chinese operators of A320neo family aircraft.

“We look forward to building the relationship with CASC as the fleet of LEAP-1A-powered A320 family aircraft increases in China,” said Cédric Goubet, Safran Nacelles’ Chief Executive Officer. China is one of the world’s most dynamic air transport markets, and it is a priority for Safran Nacelles to increase its support in the country.”

Moreover, Safran Nacelles and CASC would discuss extended cooperation in C919** nacelles support.
