Philippe Bardol appointed General Delegate for China and CEO of Safran China

Philippe Bardol has been named General Delegate for China and Chief Executive Officer of Safran China. He replaces Kenning Liu, who has retired.

Philippe Bardol started his career in 1995 with the French Foreign Ministry. In 2000, he moved to the Foreign Economic Relations directorate at the Ministry of Finance. Based in Shanghai, China, he was first trade attaché, then director for China with the French agency for international investments (Agence française pour les investissements internationaux, AFII). In 2005, he was named trade advisor in Osaka, Japan, then moved to Tokyo as director of the Northeast Asia zone. He joined the Executive Committee of Ubifrance in Paris in 2012, as head of the international network and quality. When Business France was created in late 2014, he was appointed director of the China zone, and trade advisor to the French embassy in Beijing.

Philippe Bardol, 53, holds a post-graduate degree from the Institut national des langues et civilisations orientales (1995).
