Nicolas Potier named Vice President, Support & Services at Safran Aircraft Engines

Nicolas Potier was appointed Vice President, Support & Services of Safran Aircraft Engines on February 1st, 2023, also becoming a member of the company’s Executive Committee. He replaces François Planaud, who is retiring.

Nicolas Potier began his career in 2007 at the French Ministry of Economy, Industry and Employment. In 2010, he joined the French Prime Minister’s Office as advisor in charge of industrial policy.

He joined Safran Aircraft Engines in 2012, as Director of Industrial Strategy, and then took responsibility for the Large Commercial Engine programs. In 2016, he was appointed director of Services Operations within the Support & Services Division.

In 2019, he joined Safran Landing Systems where he successively held the responsibility of Executive Vice President of the Systems and Equipment division and then of the Wheels & Brakes division.

In his new position, Nicolas Potier will bring his strong customer experience in the aerospace industry, as the company faces a significant ramp-up of support & services activities.

Nicolas Potier, 40, is a graduate of Ecole Polytechnique (2004) and Ecole des Mines de Paris (2006).
