Jean-Marc Delaunoy, appointed Senior Vice President, Strategy, Commerce and Programs at Safran Aero Boosters

From September 1, 2020, Strategy, Commerce & Programs in Safran Aero Boosters will be under the management of Jean-Marc Delaunoy.

Jean-Marc Delaunoy is taking over from Jean-François Cortequisse who is now Head of Institutional Relations.

Jean-Marc Delaunoy is passionate about the world of aviation, and has enjoyed a highly diversified career with Safran Aero Boosters in Belgium and abroad.

Jean-Marc Delaunoy graduated as a civil engineer in aerospace engineering from the University of Liège in Belgium and holds two Masters degrees ("Science in Aircraft Vehicle design" - UK and "Science in Management" - USA). He began his career in 1993 at Techspace Aero (now Safran Aero Boosters) as an engineer in the Technical Department. He then joined the Operations Department, where he was in charge of the industrial production of the CFM56 7B/-5B low-pressure compressor. He was subsequently posted to the United States as a sales representative for Pratt & Whitney. In 2002, he became Technical Manager of the Techspace Aero Business Unit in charge of engine oil systems and space equipment. In 2012, he joined the Strategy, Sales and Programs Department as General Electric Program Manager. In 2016, he was appointed Head of Industrial Strategy in the Operations Department and managed the transformation of our shopfloor for new engines.

Today, he joins the Executive Committee as Senior Vice President, Strategy, Commerce and Programs, Safran Aero Boosters.
