Fabien Menant named Safran Vice President, Public Affairs

Fabien Menant has been appointed Safran Vice President, Public Affairs, effective February 1, 2020. He reports to Alexandre Ziegler, Safran Senior Executive Vice President, International and Public Relations.

Fabien Menant began his career in 2004 as an adviser to the City of Paris, then as part of the Europartenaires think tank, becoming General Secretary of this entity in 2009.

In 2008, he joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, first as part of France’s permanent EU delegation, then at the Directorate of Forward Planning (now the Center for Analysis, Planning and Strategy), where he was responsible for European affairs.

In 2012, he was appointed Deputy Chief of Staff and Political Adviser to the Minister for the Armed Forces.

In 2014, he joined Naval Group as Senior Vice President, Public, European and International Affairs and Chief of Staff to the CEO.



Fabien Menant, 38, has a PhD in history from Sorbonne University (2009). He was also auditor in the 69th defense policy session of the French Institute of Advanced Studies in National Defense (IHEDN) in 2016.
