Zodiac Seats U.S. Hosts Students for Manufacturing Day Tour in Texas

Last month, Zodiac Seats in Gainesville, Texas, took part in a Manufacturing Day hosted by the Cooke County Manufacturing Consortium. The company joined seven other local manufacturers in opening their doors to student tours on October 25. A total of 220 students, including sophomores, juniors and seniors from Cooke County High Schools participated in the event.
Following the morning tours, students gathered at the Gainesville Civic Center for a lunch featuring multiple presentations. Dee Robinson, Vice President of Human Resources at Zodiac Seats U.S., presented key guidelines on finding the right job. Other presenters included Arleene Loyd, Executive Director of the Gainesville Economic Development Corporation, and Kenny Smith, chair of the industrial technical program at North Central Texas College, who discussed the many options and benefits of technical training.
In addition, participating manufacturers were given the opportunity to showcase their products with a table display.
Zodiac employs more than 1,300 people at its 623,700-sq.-ft. facility dedicated to engineering, testing, certification, fabrication, final assembly of aircraft seats.
