Business

On Wednesday, March 28, Safran Engineering Services held an afternoon open house at its Saclay site to recruit future managers, experienced engineers and project leaders. You have a background in any of these fields and want to know more? We asked 3 questions to Leonie Duclaux, head of recruitment and creator of this initiative.

Why are you holding an open house?

Leonie Duclaux. We are recruiting future team members—people who are motivated by the idea of working for Safran in high-level positions. We are seeking experienced engineers, PhD candidates, managers and project leaders with at least 3-5 years of experience in their respective fields who wish to take their career in a new direction. We have high-power jobs available in Systems Integration, Electronics, Manufacturing and Services Support.

What opportunities can Safran Engineering Services offer them?

Leonie Duclaux. First, we are offering direct recruitment into major positions. Our managers oversee teams of between 10 and 30 people. Our project managers’ work on a broad portfolio, including everything from understanding client needs, to project delivery, even covering support and maintenance. This is an opportunity to work on exciting challenges and issues. Our activities are concentrated mainly in the aerospace and defense sectors. Some of our operations include carrying out batteries of tests thrust reversers, developing onboard operating systems for drones, writing image-processing code or coordinating the manufacture of jet engine parts. We also collaborate on innovative projects related to the factory of the future, additive manufacturing or inertial navigation systems. Safran Engineering Services offers promising career paths with plenty of opportunities for professional growth, with the Group and all of its companies. We hope a lot of talented individuals will show up on March 28 to take advantage of this opportunity.

How will this open house unfold? How can I participate?

Leonie Duclaux. The event will be held on Wednesday, March 28, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The plan is to meet with candidates for an hour at a time, introduce them to the business and offer them a tour of the super-modern site that we share with Safran Tech and Safran Nacelles. Then they will have a chance to meet with the operations managers to discuss projects and positions available and to talk shop. We will provide them with the concrete information they need. HR interviews will be held at a later date.

Interested in participating? It's simple. Send your resume to [email protected] and indicate your availability: 4 p.m. – 5 p.m. – 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. We will follow up by sending you an invitation confirming your time slot and containing the event agenda and additional details. We want this open house to be a rewarding experience, both for the company and for the candidates joining us.
