On the afternoon of April 7th, Ambassador of France in China Laurent Bili, Consul General of France in Chengdu Bruno Bisson and Aeronotic Counselor at French Embassy in China Dominique Grass visited Sichuan Services Aero-engine Maintenance Co., Ltd. (SSAMC). Safran General Delegate for China and CEO of Safran China Philippe Bardol, Vice Chief Engineer of Air China Co., Ltd and Party Secretary of Air China Southwest Branch Zhong Dechao, SSAMC General Manager Jean-Michel Tomas, and Deputy General Manager Wan Yi extended a warm welcome to the visiting guests.

 

 

The SSAMC team introduced company’s development history and overall operation to the guests, and led the delegation to visit the factory.

 

SSAMC is a joint venture between Air China and CFM International (50/50 joint company between Safran Aircraft Engines and GE). Based at the Chengdu Comprehensive Bonded Zone, SSAMC operates a new 40,000-square meter shop with capacity for 300 engines annually and offers a wide range of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services in China for both CFM56 & LEAP series engines. SSAMC is the first engine MRO shop in China for CFM engines and was the first to provide LEAP engine overhaul capability. The SSAMC shop is certified by the Chinese, European and American aviation authorities, respectively CAAC, EASA and FAA.
