Warbler: tactical precision reinvented at medium range
In a constantly changing combat environment, the ability to detect, track, and strike targets at long range has become essential. This is precisely the role of the Warbler™, which is being showcased at the 2025 Paris Air Show. This is the new medium-range remotely operated munition designed by Safran Electronics & Defense. It provides the Armed Forces with an agile, responsive and remote strike capability in the heart of contested areas.

Precision at depth: a new generation of strike
Developed to complement conventional artillery systems, the Warbler enables forces to engage high-value moving targets, such as armored vehicles or enemy tactical command posts, up to 50 kilometers behind the line of contact.
Thanks to its autonomous navigation, capable of operating in environments without signals from satellite navigation systems (GNSS), and its resistance to jamming and decoys, the Warbler is perfectly suited to contested environments.
Positioned between conventional artillery and long-range precision weapons, the Warbler ensures a prolonged presence in the area of interest: it can loiter for up to 60 minutes above the battlefield, autonomously monitor the situation in real time, and strike at the most opportune moment. The operator always remains in control of the engagement, ensuring a controlled strike on every mission.

Lightweight, modular, and interoperable
Thanks to its foldable design and weight of around 20 kg, the Warbler is designed to be easily deployable. It can be launched from various platforms, including land vehicles, drones, helicopters, ships, or simple canisters, making it suitable for all types of missions, including joint operations.
Developed to operate in swarms, the Warbler enables collaborative targeting and saturation effects, while significantly reducing the personnel required for its deployment. It therefore constitutes a major tactical asset.
Fully interoperable with existing C4I* systems, including fire coordination centers (FSCC), the Warbler integrates naturally into the command architecture and enables real-time coordination between units for immediate effect on the ground.
