Supplier relations: roll-out of the “digiBuy” application continues

Purchasing

Do you know about digiBuy? Launched in 2023 by the Safran Purchasing Division, this collaborative app aims to manage relationships between the Group’s buyers and suppliers. As the roll-out of this innovative solution continues within the teams, here’s a look back at its progress over the last few months.

DigiBuy

A promising start for digiBuy! The roll-out of this buyer/supplier digital platform is well on track. In July 2023, the first wave involved almost 200 users within the Group (from Safran Landing Systems, Safran SA, Safran Purchasing and the Group Purchasing Performance Division), as well as 1,600 suppliers. In line with the project’s schedule, the “Sourcing” module is now operational.

In order to help 200 buyers familiarize themselves with the new tool, the project team organized practical sessions in January and February 2024. Similarly, more than 150 tenders were prepared and issued on the platform – some of which have already been awarded!

Finally, digiBuy’s third and final “Contract Management” module has just undergone trials, while the project team steers the necessary corrections and qualifies the desired upgrades. In particular, this module will be connected to the Group’s DocaPoste “e-signature” platform.

Widespread roll-out by the end of 2024

The next phase will begin in June: An additional 500 users (from six of the Group’s companies, and Safran Purchasing UK and Morocco) will have access to digiBuy, as well as 4,200 suppliers identified for a swift and efficient adoption of the app

In total, over 2,000 users in the Group and 30,000 suppliers worldwide will have access to the platform by the end of 2024.

Thanks to its simple and intuitive interface, digiBuy will allow Safran suppliers in particular to:

  • Upload general company documents (depending on the country and type of purchase) relating to the services to deliver and in progress, as well as documents relating to requirements such as the Responsible Purchasing Charter;
  • Update and ensure the integrity of data to raise the quality of communications;
  • Communicate directly with Safran correspondents using instant messaging;
  • Submit tenders more simply and efficiently;
  • Negotiate and conclude contracts;
  • Sign contractual documents on the DocaPoste “e-signature” platform, with the added benefit of digital continuity from digiBuy.
