Start & Stop is also possible in aeronautics (e-Power talk)
The 6th e-Power talk on Safran’s stand at the Paris Air Show this week, by Safran Helicopter Engines R&T Programs Vice-President Pascal Dauriac, will focus on Start & Stop technology and how it can also work in the aeronautics sector.

Start & Stop technology is used extensively in the automobile sector, to save fuel and lower CO2 emissions by automatically switching off the engine when the vehicle is stopped. Can aircraft use the same idea? Yes, says Safran, and it has been working on it for several years. The expert’s talk is right here.
The next e-Power Talk will be on “When will hybrid commercial aircraft happen?”
