SPOTS, a product designed for leasing companies

As part of Safran Cabin's efforts to offer a range adapted to the specific leasing market, Safran Cabin's Toulouse site, which specializes in class dividers, now offers an offer called SPOTS.

 

Roman Meerschman, Program & Sales Director, explains: “In this market, two key success factors are identified: the ability to deliver a product quickly, when an aircraft is in a transition phase between two airlines, and the competitiveness of the products offered. To attract the specific market of leasing companies, a study was carried out and led to SPOTS - Standard Products Off The Shelf.

 

Front partitions on Airbus A320 (right and left) and Boeing 737 (left only) are usually available with a significant number of options. With the SPOTS offer, only the three most recurrent options are proposed: the décor, the cradle and the literature pocket. The rest of the product is standard, allowing within 4 weeks to define customization options and deliver to the customer with certification documentation, an EASA Form 1 authorization tag.

 

"We made our first sales of SPOTS products in 2018" continues Roman Meerschman. "We are now looking to develop our catalogue, particularly the other partitions of the aircraft, but also to promote the Movable Class Divider to leasing companies through SPOTS. In addition, we have two batches of neutral coloured products in stock at all times for immediate shipment to the customer. These efforts will allow us to better penetrate the leasing market.
