Showcase of Safran Seats to China Customers

Safran Seats was proud to showcase their range of seats through two roadshows which took place in Beijing (Oct. 19th and 20th) and Shanghai (Oct. 27th and 28th) to Chinese customers including more than 14 major airlines, leasing companies and aircraft manufacturers.

In this four-day event across two Chinese metropolises, Safran Seats’ local team was able to demonstrate the cutting-edge design, configuration and global offering services of these products to their current and prospective customers from Air China, China Eastern Airlines, Capital Airlines, Shenzhen Airlines, Shandong Airlines and lessors such as AerDragon, Minsheng, ICBC and Everbright, etc.

The four exhibited platforms were state-of-the-art seats respectively designed for Business and Economy classes: Skylounge Core and Optima in Business, Z400 (for long-haul flights) and Z200 (for medium haul flights) in Economy. The Skylounge Core is a face-forwarding seat that offers the essence of what a Business class seat is: full flat bed, direct aisle access, with a best in class cost of ownership. Optima is Safran Seats’ most space efficient Business class seat, which offers a unique balance between passenger comfort and airlines revenue efficiency. The Z400 offers many different options for passenger comfort, such as the innovative U-dream headrest or Personal Electronic Devices holders for passengers. The Z200 is best in class regarding its weight and living space, which are keys for passengers and airlines in medium haul flights.

Safran Seats have completely renewed their portfolio in the past three years, basing their products on modular platforms, enabling thus both a high level of customization and on time delivery for their customers. “Our target is to have a complete range of products that cover our customer’s needs and cabin layout strategies. Air China expressed their warm welcome to Safran Seats for organizing this seat roadshow in the current complex and difficult situation. They were very happy to see all the latest seats models significantly improved to meet various requirements from long-haul and short-haul flights carried out by wide-body and narrow-body platforms.


The core competitiveness of Safran Seats was fully recognized by customers from China Eastern Airlines, who also appreciated Safran’s effort at expanding cooperation with the airlines by providing more comfortable, reliable and affordable seats.
