Sędziszów City in Poland organizes a ceremony to thank Safran for local contribution

The ceremony took place in the Cultural Center of Sędziszów and was hosted by the Mayor of Sędziszów, along with the Chairman and members of the City Council. It was attended by representatives of Podkarpackie Voivodship, city officials, guests, citizens of Sędziszów and local media. Safran was represented by Jan Sawicki, CEO of Safran Transmission Systems Poland, and Ronan Carrolaggi, General Manager of Safran Aircraft Engines Poland.

After the opening address, several local inhabitants received honorary titles of “worthy citizens” of the city. The Mayor of Sędziszów, Boguslaw Kmieć, then presented Safran and described its contribution to the city and region. He reviewed the history of Safran’s presence in Poland, along with both of its local plants, spotlighting the companies’ dynamic development, growing workforces and high-technology products. At the same time, slides showing photos of both local Safran subsidiaries (Safran Transmission Systems Poland and Safran Aircraft Engines Poland) were projected in the background. The Mayor expressed his thanks to Safran for the Group’s contribution to Sędziszów City and underscored the excellent collaboration between the companies and local authorities.

After this introduction, the Mayor and Council members awarded the official Commemorative Plaque and statuette (photos attached) to Safran’s representatives, Jan Sawicki and Ronan Carrolaggi. Jan Sawicki then gave a short speech, reading a personal letter from Eric Valentin, CEO of Safran Transmission Systems, and expressing his thanks for this distinction on behalf of the Group and emphasizing Safran’s strong position in the global aerospace market.
