Safran’s Optics 1 makes Christmas wishes come true for children

Business

December 26, 2019

This holiday season, the New Hampshire-based Safran Optics 1 business partnered with the non-profit organization Friends of Forgotten Children to purchase Christmas gifts for children of low income and at-risk families.

Optics 1 adopted 100 "Christmas Wish Stars" by creating a giving tree in the lobby of the company's Bedford facility, where 100 envelopes were placed for employees to "adopt" children for the holidays and purchase their requested gifts.

All 100 children were granted their wishes thanks to the employees’ generosity, with thousands of dollars spent for gifts that were provided for toddlers and teens.

Friends of Forgotten Children is a 100 percent volunteer-run provider of food, clothing and holiday gifts for individuals and families in need, serving the greater Concord, New Hampshire area since 1972.
