Safran’s key supplier role for Boeing is highlighted during the French Ambassador’s visit to Renton

Philippe Etienne, France’s Ambassador to the U.S., and Frédéric Jung, Consul General of France, toured Boeing’s 737 factory in Renton, Washington this month, accompanied by Safran USA President & CEO Peter Lengyel.
Safran is a major supplier to Boeing’s 737 family of aircraft – which are assembled at the Renton factory, providing engines, through CFM International (a joint venture between Safran Aircraft Engines and GE), engine components from Safran Aero Boosters, evacuation slides, wiring, FADEC engine control units, the Aircraft Condition Monitoring System (ACMS), wheels and carbon brakes, accessory gearboxes, oil and fuel filters, wheels and carbon brakes, and cabin interiors.
During the July 23 high-level visit to Renton, the group was hosted by Ed Clark, Vice President & General Manager, 737 program; and Elizabeth Lund, Vice President and General Manager of the Commercial Airplanes Supply Chain.
