The Spot Festival is a new corporate film contest launched in 2020. Safran won awards in the three categories in which it competed!
Award for best director
The Safran institutional film “We Build the Future,” produced with the support of CAPA Corporate, won the award for best director. This film was presented as a prelude to the last Paris Air Show in 2019 and brings viewers on a journey into our industrial world and the diverse materials used to create our products. Performance, dispatch reliability, environmental friendliness, safety, reliability, and trust: in five minutes, this film presents the Group’s values and strengths.
Education-Training category award
The two new episodes of the educational web series SimplyFly! (“Extra-comfort airplane seats and on-board entertainment” and “Water - Air - Fuel: on-board fluid management”), which were also produced with CAPA Corporate, were recognized in the Education-Training category. Informative and fun, the SimplyFly movie collection presents and explains Safran’s star products and technologies. The new episodes from the third season are still being broadcast, and have met with great success, especially with outside audiences (almost 3 million total views on YouTube to date!).
Aviation - Space - Defense category award
And finally, Safran Aircraft Engines’ movie “Flight Safety”, directed by Sylvain Peaudecerf, received the Aviation - Space - Defense award. The movie highlights the incredible work carried out by engineers, technicians, mechanics, experts, and design shop managers to assemble and design the highest-performing, strongest engines.
