Safran Welcomes U.S. Congressional in Toulouse

On August 22, a U.S. Congressional delegation hosted by the U.S. Embassy in Paris visited the Safran Nacelles facility in Toulouse, France. The delegation was led by senior members of the House Appropriations Committee, which is responsible for divvying up the U.S. federal budget every year.

Upon arrival at the Safran Nacelles facility, the delegation was welcomed by Site Manager Xavier Durupt; Walid Hamzeh, VP Airbus/ATR Programs at Safran; Martin Klotz, SVP International & Public Affairs at Safran Electronics & Defense; Simon Gavillet VP Sales, Marketing & Commercial Support at Safran Landing Systems; and Laurent Le Foll, VP Programs & Sales at Safran Power Units. 

Walid Hamzeh kicked off the visit with an overview of Safran’s activities and commitment to serving the U.S. aerospace and defense market. This was followed by company briefings from Martin Klotz; Simon Gavillet; and Laurent Le Foll. Before leading a behind-the-scenes tour, Xavier Durupt highlighted the activities of the 54,000 sq. m facility, which include nacelle podding, engine integration, R&D, design, and customer support and services. 

This strategic visit provided an opportunity to showcase the Group’s advanced industrial capabilities and highlight the importance of U.S. programs that are supported by Safran’s 8,000 employees working across 24 states.
