Safran welcomes its future sales leaders at the Paris Air Show
The 10 successful candidates selected for the “SIP Sales” program benefited from a Safran integration day at the Paris Air Show. Designed for high-potential sales managers, this program starts them off on their Group careers with two years of international experience.
On Friday, June 23, the ten winners of this program alternating training periods and operational missions abroad were invited to the Paris Air Show to visit the Safran stand and discover the Careers Plane, an exhibition space where visitors can learn about the various professions of the aerospace and defense industries.
To meet its recruitment challenges in the commercial field while diversifying candidates, the Group has set up a program entitled “Safran International Program (SIP) Sales”. More than 1,000 people applied for the 2016 program, with ten selected to carry out three extended sales missions over two years, at customer sites in three different countries. In addition to intensive training and the implementation of the Group’s marketing and sales strategies, this program enables its lucky participants to develop their international network and benefit from the support of a mentor and a HR manager.
Some testimonies gathered on the fly during this day at the Paris Air Show:
“SIP Sales is a tremendous opportunity for my career. I see it as a springboard enabling me to enhance my skills and expand my professional network. I hope that Safran will be able to support me in doing that. I am very impressed by the diversity and complexity of Safran products, which are truly little – and big – gems of technology!”
“This day offered me a wonderful opportunity to meet the candidates selected for this year’s SIP Sales program. It gave us a chance to discuss the program and I hope I passed on some tips to them that will help make their adventure even more rewarding. I’m passing on the baton!”
“This is a recruitment initiative targeting sales managers and is a high-priority program for the Group. The Paris Air Show coincides with the start of the second edition of the program, which is a perfect opportunity to integrate our future employees and have them experience their first large-scale aerospace event”, comments Bruno Vandevelde, the HR manager in charge of the program.
