Safran Test Cells has signed a contract with the Chinese maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) center SSAMC (Sichuan Services Aero Engine Maintenance Company*) to upgrade a test cell to test the LEAP-1A and 1B engines that will equip the A320NEO and B737MAX respectively.

Safran Test Cells has already demonstrated its expertise in this field by carrying out, for engine manufacturer Safran Aircraft Engines, three development cells, three production cells, and two MRO test cells to test the LEAP engine.

Against a backdrop of ramp-up production of the LEAP engine, this contract makes Safran Test Cells the partner of choice for test facilities to test these engines (turnkey test cell / upgrades / engine test equipment).
