Safran Seats provides the seats for the new Air France A350 fleet
Air France received its 3rd A350 early december. Did you know that Air France Airbus A350s are equipped with 34 Optima seats in the Business cabin and 266 Z300 seats in the Economy cabin, both supplied by Safran Seats? The Optima seat developed for Air France is distinguished by a herringbone layout in the cabin, allowing the optimization of the individual space. It allows direct access to the aisle, turns into a real flat bed and offers a high level of privacy. Customers benefit from an expanded tablet, additional personal storage and a new 18.5-inch high definition touch screen. This seat adapts to the desires of customers: they benefit from the choice of a preserved intimacy or a moment of conviviality thanks to a removable wall which can be lowered to share the journey. Air France's Airbus A350 Optima seat, manufactured in Great Britain, is the first seat produced on the basis of the modular platform of personalization that meets the airline's expectations. The joint work carried out by the Air France and Safran Seats teams has resulted in the development of a sober and elegant cabin, with seats made of quality materials. For the Economy cabin, Safran Seats supplied 266 Z300 seats manufactured in France, in Issoudun. These seats have a seat with ergonomic reinforced foam, a 118° angle and a 79 cm legroom. Equipped with storage and large 11.6-inch screens, these seats in a harmony of blue, have been developed to offer customers a flying experience with optimum comfort. The Z300 is a seat already installed on the Air France Boeing 787, 777 and Airbus A330.
