Business

The airline has revealed their new unique Premium Economy, Business Class and First Class seats that are fully customized with our teams for 13 Airbus A350s.

Japan Airlines will be the first airline in the world to offer Safran Seats' latest technologies in First Class and Business Class: Euphony, the headphone-free audio solution developed in collaboration with Devialet, and Active Backrest, a new mechanism that provides more support at the backrest level during all phases of flight and has been developed to adapt to all passenger morphologies.

The first-class cabin will be equipped with six luxurious suites. Each suite has a wide independent seat for the passenger, with a side seat to be used when the main seat is in bed position. The main seat converts to an 80-inch bed with high shells and doors for greater privacy.

The suite can accommodate up to three guests in flight thanks to the main and side seats associated with the adjacent ottoman.

The business class cabin has 54 suites in a staggered configuration. The business class seat offers an exceptional flying experience thanks to the available space and the technology package consisting of Euphony and Active Backrest. The high hull and transparent door, which are unique design features of Japan Airlines, ensure passengers' privacy.

In premium economy class, the 24 Seats have been designed to ensure privacy for passengers. They are equipped with a fixed-shell backrest and a large partition between the seats, which helps to preserve the personal space of each passenger during all phases of the flight.

In addition, the new seats are electrically operated, giving passengers full control over the different seat positions.

"Safran Seats and Japan Airlines have a close relationship for several decades and it is an honour to be a key part of the journey from co-creation with Japan Airlines for their brand new A350-1000. It is also an important milestone for Safran Seats and we’re excited that passengers will experience our latest innovations with the launch of Euphony and Active Backrest, offering First and Business class passengers a unique way of enjoying their flight."
