Trophée GEEIS

In late December 2023, Safran was commended at the 4th edition of the GEEIS-SDG* Trophy, which rewards projects carried out by GEEIS*-certified companies committed to gender equality and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Safran, for example, is committed to these goals and helps achieve them by pursuing its “Engage for the future” strategy, backed up by clear, measurable objectives.

In this context, Safran Aircraft Engines was rewarded for its “Bourse du Mérite ISTIHQAQ” scholarship project in Casablanca, which helps finance the post-secondary studies of deserving children of employees from low-income families. This scholarship is awarded to the year’s most deserving high school graduates.

Access to education: a strong Group commitment

Safran strives to guarantee access to education for all, whether through sponsorship programs or by granting merit-based scholarships.

Twice a year, Safran Aerosystems awards scholarships to children of employees at the Chihuahua site, in Mexico, thereby helping them gain access to education at three universities in the region. In France, Safran Electronics & Defense supports young women at the Centrale Supélec engineering school with financial assistance and the support of a mentor.
