Safran receives the prize for the best International Business Volunteer in China during Prime Minister Edouard Philippe's visit

On June 24 of this year, the French Embassy, Business France, the Foreign Trade advisers and the France-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry held the inaugural Chinese edition of the International Business Volunteer Grand Prize to coincide with Edouard Philippe's visit to the country. Mounir Mahjoubi, Minister of State for the Digital Sector, attached to the Prime Minister, also attended.

 

Around 40 international business volunteers were in the running for one of the three prizes. Maxime Pingouroux-Brindeau received the Integration Prize, which was presented to him by Delphine Gény-Stephann, Minister of State, attached to the Minister of Economy and Finance.

 

Within Safran Aircraft Engines Guiyang, Maxime Pingouroux-Brindeau works for the Methods Department. As Projects and Investments Coordinator, he manages the foundry's investments and coordinates the improvement initiatives conducted by the French and Chinese engineers.

 

"This awards ceremony has given me a chance to see the bridges built between government action and entrepreneurship. International business volunteering puts these joint efforts into practice. I feel lucky to be involved in it," says Maxime Pingouroux-Brindeau. "Being an international business volunteer is a personal and professional challenge. From one day to the next, all of your bearings shift as you come to grips with a new culture, new job, new home and new friends and colleagues. You have to be ready to get out of your comfort zone, twice: when you leave and when you return. Safran's trust and support were invaluable."
