Human resources

This year, Safran is once again one of the top choices for future engineers according to the Universum and Trendence rankings published a few days ago.

The Universum ranking is the result of a survey of nearly 20,000 future engineering graduates conducted between October 2015 and February 2016*. The Trendence institute, meanwhile, surveyed a total of 26,000 students from engineering schools, business schools or universities to find out which companies are popular with engineering students.

The purpose of this study is also to determine the students? perception of the business world, their salary expectations, the importance they attribute to balancing private and professional life, and their career goals.

Safran came in 3rd place in the Trendence ranking and is listed in the 5 favorite companies of future engineers in the Universum ranking.

The creation of a strong employer brand

?Both rankings are the result of the extensive efforts that went into promoting our employer brand among the students of engineering schools, an important target for the Group. In 2016, Safran plans to recruit 900 engineers and managers in France?, explains Catherine Buche Andrieux, Head of Recruitment Policy and Attractiveness at Safran. Thanks to our network of ambassadors, made up of 300 former students who are now employees of the Group, we have consolidated our presence in partner schools and universities. In a context of strong competition to hire graduates, it is crucial for Safran to attract the best talents worldwide. ?

The Group?s reputation is growing

The fact Safran has once again ranked so highly is also thanks to its steadily growing reputation. Last year a communication campaign dedicated to innovation within the Group was widely publicized externally, especially among students. A success, according to Veronique Menet, Head of HR Communications and Employer Branding: ?The students surveyed in the Universum ranking quote the quality of the mission as one of the main criteria in their career choices. They know that by joining Safran, they will work in an environment that is both innovative and challenging."
