This annual event is organized by the French Ministry of the Economy, Industry and Digital Technology. Safran is taking an active role, including by offering guided tours of its facilities. In addition, Safran is at the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie science & technology museum in Paris, for the Salon des Métiers de l'Industrie et de l'Entreprise Île-de-France (SMILE IDF), an industry jobs forum in the greater Paris area which allows students to meet industry professionals.

Industry Week is designed to help change the public’s attitude, especially how students and job-seekers see industry and its professions. As one of the leading industrial companies in France, Safran hopes to inspire this young public to consider careers in industry.

Since being created in 2011, each year’s Industry Week has been organized around a different theme. For 2018, it’s the “connected industry”, a subject that addresses subjects such as the emergence of smart factories, the development of new technologies, cyber-security and artificial intelligence… all subjects at the heart of Safran’s production strategy.
