Safran Military Innovations Spotlighted at Warrior Expo East
July 14, 2017
Safran Electronics & Defense subsidiary Optics 1 demonstrated its optronics capabilities at ADS Warrior Expo East, held July 13-14 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Warrior Expo East brings together end users, program managers and procurement specialists with industry-leading solution providers in an environment designed for government and defense organizations.
During this two-day exhibition, visitors experienced Optics 1's latest military technologies, including handheld and mounted surveillance systems that help America’s armed forces meet their missions.
In addition to promoting its range of portable observation and target optronics solutions, Optics 1 spotlighted the High-Resolution Thermal Viewer (HRTV). Based on the success of the Long-Range Thermal Video Imaging System (LRTV), the HRTV was developed to be a lightweight, multifunctional, long-range binocular system that provides operators with superior situational awareness and advanced connectivity in the field.
The Optics 1 booth also featured the next generation of thermal and range-finding technologies, including the Enhanced Clip-On Thermal Imager (E-COTI), designed to offer operators the ability to directly and seamlessly inject images from the device into night vision goggles.
Another key innovation on display was MOSKITO TI, the company's newest multifunctional solution that incorporates eight essential functions in one lightweight device.
Optics 1 is a technology leader in design, engineering, and development of electro-optical equipment, systems and sensors for defense and law enforcement applications.
