Safran's participation at Aviation Week's MRO Americas 2017 exhibition and conference in Orlando, Florida showcased the group's maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) solutions for operators in civil and military markets, while also underscoring Safran's presence across the U.S.

Products and services from Safran subsidiaries Safran Aircraft Engines, Safran Electrical & Power, Safran Electronics & Defense Avionics and Safran Landing Systems were featured at the Orange County Convention Center during this April 25-27 event. They highlighted the group's capabilities to support its full range of products for commercial and regional airliners, business jets and military aircraft.

Equipment exhibited at MRO Americas 2017 included an Airbus A330/A340 auxiliary power unit AC generator and ram air turbine from Safran Electrical & Power; an Airbus A320 landing gear and brakes for Boeing's 737 NG, from Safran Landing Systems; repaired engine components from Safran Aircraft Engines; and a range of flight control systems from Safran Electronics & Defense Avionics.

Also on the Safran exhibit stand were representatives from Safran Nacelles, whose facility in Indianapolis, Indiana provides maintenance solutions for its jet engine nacelles that are operational across North America.

Safran’s major highlight at MRO Americas was its selection by WestJet to provide wheels and carbon brakes, as well as MRO services, for the airline’s Boeing 737 MAX fleet. Following a signing ceremony at the booth, Safran Electrical & Power also announced a support agreement with Turkish Technic Inc. for maintenance of electrical equipment on Airbus A320 and A330 aircraft.
